BioSurf™
BioSurf™ is an environmentally friendly alternative to formaldehyde-based high pressure laminates. BioSurf biolaminate is comprised of a 100% blend of soybean and corn biopolymer. BioSurf printed material uses digital technology to embed an image beneath a clear wear layer providing improved performance and high definition clarity. Available over green MDF with BioEdge green edgebanding or 3D edge.

BioSurf™ Custom Graphics
Image Production
Baltix uses digital image creation to give BioSurf its broad color and style palette. We can work with clients to modify our existing offering, or create something completely new and custom.
Printing
Once the image is created and orientation is established, it is sent to a large format printer, where it is printed on the back side of the clear BioSurf film.
Table Forming
The film is then given a solid color back coat and formed over a green MDF substrate. A combination of water-based adhesive, heat, and vacuum is used to ensure a tight bond between the wear layer and the substrate. The excess material is then trimmed away.
